A short list, never a wall of tasks. Marking something done takes one tap from the home screen, and the next date is worked out for you.
Learns your house, briefly
A few optional questions set up a starting plan. Skip them and you still get the safety-critical basics, and never guesses about equipment you may not own.
Only the jobs that matter
Not a chore list. Every task in PadPing is one where skipping it costs real money later, and the app tells you what that cost looks like.
Tracks what wears out
Roof, water heater, HVAC, major appliances. Typical lifespans and your own install dates, on their own screen so they never clutter the day-to-day list.
Reminds you, quietly
Scheduled reminders on your device at sensible moments. No streaks, no scores, no red badge counting how far behind you are.
Stays on your phone
No account, no sign-in. Your home's details are stored on your device and are never transmitted to us. We measure only anonymous usage, plus a template suggestion if you choose to send one; the privacy policy lists exactly what.

PadPing goes to a small group of first-time and recent homeowners before it hits the stores. Leave your email and we'll write twice: when the beta opens, and when PadPing reaches the stores. Nothing else, and you can reply "stop" any time.

Questions
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and no server to sign in to. Everything PadPing knows about your home is stored on the device, and you can export it or delete it from Settings.
Is it another chore app?
No. Tasks only make it into PadPing's library if skipping them causes a real, expensive consequence later. Taking the bins out doesn't qualify. You can still add your own tasks if you want them tracked.
What if I don't know when things were last done?
That's the normal starting point, especially if you've just bought the place. PadPing assumes nothing has been done, staggers the first reminders so you don't get twelve at once, and you correct the dates as you learn them.
Does it know about my climate?
Broadly, yes. Scheduling for seasonal work like winterizing is set from your ZIP code, so "before the first hard freeze" means something different in Minnesota than in Arizona. US homes only for the first release.
What will it cost?
Pricing isn't settled yet. Beta testers will hear first, and they won't be charged for taking part.
Multiple properties? Rentals?
Not in the first release: it tracks one home. The app was built so that several homes can be added later.
